I'll be real with you: I designed this session because I needed it. One too many bedtimes with frazzled nerves had nearly done me in! And I know I'm not the only parent out there who just about loses their mind by the end of a long day and a somehow-even-longer bedtime.
Children are a treasure but sometimes dealing with them can be traumatic in its own right. Whether as a parent, teacher, or other person dealing with children, it can be hard to keep calm in the face of tantrums, whining, kids fighting with each other, and more.
At the same time, it is just as traumatic (or even more so!) to be a child, dealing with new and huge emotions in a tiny body, and being treated with irritation and anger by the adults who are too frazzled themselves to hold space for a child's big feelings.
This session is designed to deal with both ends of this spectrum: both the adult irritation with children, and any residual, persistent feelings we may still carry from when we were children and adults were irritated with us.
